While unpacking this morning we came across this little piece of history.
During the invasion in 1990/1991 the US troops would drop warning pamphlets in specific areas, warning the Iraqis to leave the area if they didn’t want to be in harm’s way. They were advised to make their way to the Saudi border where they would be welcome.
This is a photo of the one I own (front and back). It’s obviously worn, old, and covered in droplets of oil from the burning oil fields.

Amazing! Thank you for sharing.
I was quite fascinated as well, but of course needed hubby to translate.
That’s such a meaningful little piece of history to have.. keep it safe!
We definitely will. It’s been with my husband for many years and even carefully packed when moving to the US.
